For over a decade, Greenleaf Academy has been growing young minds in a warm, encouraging environment where every child feels seen.

Our story

Built from a belief that children deserve better

Greenleaf Academy was founded in 2012 by a group of educators who saw a gap in early-years education, schools that focused on grades but forgot the child. We wanted something different.

Today, with over 320 pupils and a team of 18 dedicated staff, we continue that original mission: to build confident, curious, kind children who are ready for the world, academically and emotionally.

Entry requirements by class

We accept children from age 2½ through to Primary 6. Here's what you'll need for each stage.

Nursery

Ages 2½ – 5 years
  • Child's birth certificate (original + copy)
  • Immunisation card
  • 2 passport photographs of child
  • Parent/guardian valid ID
  • Completed admission form

Primary 1 – 3

Ages 6 – 9 years
  • Birth certificate (original + copy)
  • Previous school report card (2 terms)
  • Transfer certificate from last school
  • 2 passport photographs
  • Parent/guardian ID

Primary 4 – 6

Ages 10 – 12 years
  • Birth certificate
  • Last 3 terms' report cards
  • Transfer certificate
  • Short oral assessment (English & Maths)

Things parents often ask


What is the school calendar for 2025/2026?
The first term runs September to December, second term January to April, and third term May to July. Exact dates are shared at the start of each session and via our parent WhatsApp group.
Do you offer a school bus service?
Yes. We have a bus service covering selected routes within the local government area. Routes and pricing are confirmed each term based on demand. Speak to us on WhatsApp to check if your area is covered.
What curriculum do you follow?
We follow the Nigerian National Curriculum as approved by the Federal Ministry of Education, enriched with additional focus on literacy, numeracy, and character development.
Can my child join mid-term?
Yes, subject to available spaces. Mid-term entrants complete a brief assessment so we can place them appropriately and help them settle in quickly.
How do you communicate with parents?
We use a dedicated parent WhatsApp group, a weekly paper report, and termly parent-teacher meetings. You can also reach our admin team directly any school day.
